    • Second of two sons of William Pearson of Spratton (his elder brother Thomas died in infancy). Also spelt in some documents PIRSON.
      From the will of Thomas Pirson of Spratton, senior, Co Northampton, yeoman. 16 November 1696
      To dear and loving wife, dwelling house in which I now live and my two closes adjoinyng it and one close called Guns Close and one quartern land that I purchased of ** , during her natural life.
      And because I would have a sufficiency and live as my afore my decease I do also will and bequeath to her ten pounds of goods and lawful money.
      I will and appoint my son Thomas as my executor ansassign him to pay to her every half year by equal halves.
      Thereafter the death of my wife, house, closes to my grandson John Pirson, and Gun close to my grandson William Pirson.
      I give and bequeath to my loving wife all my stock and cattle to her wholly.
      But my household goods I give the use of them only for and during her natural life and after her decease said household goods I give to my son Thomas, if he be then living, if not to his son William.
      Then it is my will that my wife during her life shall make no mcapt either in Gun Close or in the house and Hompad or closes adjoinyng in cutting down or tocking timber but only the Cap I allow as is usual to tenants.
      Lastly I do make my dear wife my executrix.
